Unholy Man

(Susan Lowery)
Lowery/Burns

I don’t wanna live, I don’t wanna, live with an Unholy Man, in an unholy land.
I don’t live with my windows painted black, always lookin’ back to see who’s there, see who’s there.
Did you forget who I am, mother or Maryam, sacred among her kin, do you remember when? What gives you the right, to stone away my life, and keep me, hidden out of sight?

Take this mask from my face. Get me out of this deadly, hellish place.
I promise to burn my veil, I know who I am, and with my bare hands, I’ll shake this fairytale. Ooh, shake this fairytale.

Fearful Man, no trust of the great “I Am.” Your deeds won’t go untold, your children will hate you so………… hate you so.
I don’t wanna live, I don’t wanna live with an Unholy Man!

Take this mask from my face. Get me out of this deadly, hellish place.
I promise to burn my veil, I know who I am and with my bare hands, I’ll shake this fairytale. Shake this fairytale.

Unholy Man, Unholy Man.
Unholy Man, Unholy Man.
Unholy Man, Unholy Man.

I don’t wanna live, I don’t wanna live, with an Unholy Man………..
